Support foodbank access and community services with The Salvation Army in Swift Current, using communication, organization, and client assistance skills.
The Community Ministries Worker serves clients and the public through Swift Current Community Church’s Community Services Department. Primarily supporting the foodbank, this position assists with vouchers, records, donations, events, and related programs. The role reports to the Community Ministry Coordinator and/or Executive Director/Corps Officer.
Key Responsibilities: Assist clients accessing foodbank services and vouchers
Maintain confidential client records using Link2Feed
Receive, sort, weigh, and document food donations
Support foodbank cleanliness and organization
Assist with community programs and special events
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent
Driver’s license
One year of prior related experience
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Bring integrity, confidentiality, and practical foodbank support skills to The Salvation Army’s community services in Swift Current.
