As a Food Service I with Alberta Health Services, you will complete routine food preparation tasks under Food Services Supervisor supervision. Your work supports patients, residents, staff, visitors, and the community through tray assembly, meal service, and sanitation. Organizational skills, teamwork, and communication are central.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, handle, portion, and package food and beverages
Assemble trays and serve meals in dining areas
Deliver and collect patient meals
Operate and clean industrial food service equipment safely
Follow safety, sanitation, and food preparation standards
Requirements: Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 46 pounds
Ability to push and pull meal carts up to 250 pounds
Ability to stand and walk throughout shifts
Basic computer applications knowledge and effective English communication
Bring accurate food preparation, patient service, teamwork, and organizational skills to Nutrition and Food Services at Canmore General Hospital.
