Make-Wish Canada seeks a Communications Coordinator in Dartmouth with hybrid flexibility, focused on regional communications, media relations, and social media content.
This full time, 12-month contract supports the brand and integrated marketing team across Atlantic Canada. You will coordinate communications plans, develop audience-focused materials, identify media opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners. The work follows established brand standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate regional communications and marketing plans, calendars, metrics, and event materials
Promote national signature events and support third-party fundraisers
Identify media opportunities, distribute releases, and monitor coverage using Cision
Coordinate interviews, maintain media relationships, and support event engagement




Create social content, wish stories, speeches, reports, and press releases
Requirements: Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, public relations, or equivalent experience
One to three years of related communications, marketing, or public relations experience
Experience communicating professionally with media, journalists, and stakeholders
Experience writing communications plans, strategies, and tactics
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social platforms, Canva, Meltwater, Salesforce, or Dropbox
Bring communications planning, media relations, and content development skills to Make-Wish Canada’s Atlantic Canada initiatives.
