This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues and repair to ensure equipment is performing optimally.CORE DUTIES:Effectively manage, schedule and prioritize maintenance work orders and apprenticesRebuild and make repairs to diesel/gasoline, pneumatic, and electric powered equipmentPlan, inspect, service, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, dismantle, and replace unit assemblies or partsCommunicate with supervisors and other divisions on methods, procedures, standards, and hazardsExercise judgment in the selection of materials and tools as well as methods so that the job is performed in accordance with accepted manufacturers specifications and safety standardsTroubleshoot, plan, and perform work requiring a strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, low voltage direct current, electronic and pneumatic principles, trade techniques, properties of various materials, and operating and application principles of equipmentFollow specifications on complex equipment diagrams, parts drawings and cataloguesExamine and reason, through cause analysis, for failure or improper operation of engines, pumps, running gear, parts, and equipmentRepair and rebuild engines, hydraulic and electric systems of diesel/gasoline, electric, propane and pneumatic powered equipmentRepair and rebuild transmissions, traction motors,
