As a Personal Support Worker with the City of Thunder Bay, you will provide basic nursing care within established programs and qualified standards. Your work supports 150 residents while contributing to care plans, conferences, documentation, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care according to resident care plans
• Support resident participation in activities of daily living
• Contribute to care plans and resident care conferences
• Report physical and mental changes to Registered Nurses
• Maintain safe environments and respond appropriately to emergencies

Requirements:

• Complete a Ministry-approved personal support worker program
• Or enroll in registered practical nursing or registered nursing
• Understand the needs of elderly residents
• Demonstrate competence under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
