Operate excavators, graders, and loaders across Ontario as a Railway Heavy Equipment Operator supporting construction and maintenance projects. Safety-focused work drives every assignment.

Universal Rail Solutions Inc. seeks an experienced Railway Equipment Operator for full time, unionized work. You will support railway construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation through equipment operation, track-related activities, inspections, and material handling. The work follows railway rules, OHSA requirements, site plans, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and skid steers
- Perform ballast distribution, grading, ditching, trenching, and material handling
- Complete pre-operational inspections, logbooks, and inspection reports




- Report equipment deficiencies and required maintenance or repairs promptly
- Work safely around workers, equipment, and rail traffic

Requirements:

- Two to five years operating heavy equipment
- Heavy Equipment Operator certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence
- Ability to read site drawings, grades, stakes, and layouts
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical duties
