Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical expertise, including experience with industrial systems, construction, and renovation projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse electrical installations and maintenance tasks across various facilities, ensuring safety and compliance with electrical codes. Candidates must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in dynamic environments to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.

Duties

- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Assist with renovation and construction projects involving electrical wiring and system upgrades
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete tasks efficiently

Skills

- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial settings
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics and technical diagrams
- Proven expertise in maintenance, repair,



and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve electrical issues effectively
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing equipment
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and troubleshooting
- Experience with construction sites, renovation projects, and electrical upgrades
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations
- Understanding electrical engineering principles as applied to practical work
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment under tight deadlines
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments and weather conditions
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail is an asset
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of Solar Panel installations preferred but not required
- Certification as a journeyman electrician with a valid license in Manitoba
- A valid driver's license and vehicle is an asset
