Job Overview

The Floor Manager oversees daily restaurant operations, supports a welcoming guest experience, booking reservations and helping the team deliver consistent, high-quality service. This hands-on role coordinates front-of-house activity, maintains food safety standards, and helps develop a reliable, service-focused team.

Duties

- Supervise daily floor operations and coordinate service between the dining room, bar, and kitchen.
- Lead, coach, and support team members; assign tasks, monitor performance, and help maintain a positive, cooperative work environment.
- Deliver attentive customer service by addressing guest questions and resolving concerns professionally.
- Oversee table service, serving standards, and hospitality throughout each shift.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices are followed.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions, cash handling, and shift-related records; experience with Micros POS is helpful.
- Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training team members.
- Monitor supplies and help maintain clean, organized dining, bar, and kitchen areas.

Requirements

- Experience in restaurant management and floor supervision.
- Background in food service, restaurant operations, or the food industry.
- Knowledge of customer service, hospitality, serving, food handling, and food safety practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling; Toast POS experience is an asset.
- Knowledge in Open Table is an asset.
- Ability to communicate clearly, prioritize tasks, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Food preparation, cooking, and kitchen experience are beneficial.
- Bartending or barista experience is a plus. Hotel experience is also welcome.
- Upscale dining environment is required.
- Upscale Italian dining experience is an asset.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
