Job Summary

We are seeking an engaging and dependable Music Instructor to introduce students to music through age-appropriate lessons and activities. The instructor will create a welcoming learning environment, encourage creativity, and adapt instruction to students’ ages, interests, and skill levels. Experience with children and a background in teaching, tutoring, or early childhood education are valued.

Responsibilities

- Plan and lead music lessons that develop students’ listening, rhythm, singing, and basic instrumental skills.
- Use interactive activities, demonstrations, and age-appropriate materials to keep students engaged.
- Adapt lessons to different learning styles, abilities, and developmental stages.
- Support students’ confidence, creativity, and positive participation.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate with families and colleagues about student participation and progress, as appropriate.




- Prepare and care for lesson materials and instruments.
- Collaborate with staff on classroom activities and, when relevant, music-related events or projects.

Requirements

- Interest in music and enthusiasm for teaching learners of varying ages and abilities.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Teaching, tutoring, or classroom experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of early childhood education and child development is beneficial.
- Cooking experience is a nice-to-have for supporting occasional classroom activities that may incorporate food or related themes.
- Ability to create a patient, encouraging, and respectful learning workplace.

Pay: $38.72-$40.36 per hour
