Position: Senior HVAC Technician

Wage: $32–$45 CAD per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior HVAC Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and commission HVAC equipment.

* Diagnose electrical, mechanical, airflow, refrigeration, and control-system issues.

* Service furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, air handlers, HRV/ERV systems, and related equipment.

* Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and system commissioning.

* Complete brazing, piping, ductwork, and equipment connections.

* Perform electrical troubleshooting, including low-voltage controls and HVAC components.

* Verify temperature rise, airflow, static pressure, refrigerant pressures, and system performance.

* Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, manufacturer specifications, and installation manuals.

* Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and apprentices.

* Complete service reports and job-related paperwork.

* Maintain a safe, clean, and qualified work environment.

Qualifications





* Several years of hands-on HVAC installation and service experience.

* Strong knowledge of residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.

* Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

* Refrigeration and brazing experience.

* Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.

* Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade certification or apprenticeship experience.

* Gasfitter certification or relevant gas-appliance experience.

* Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning certification.

* Experience with HVAC commissioning, duct design, static-pressure testing, and airflow measurement.

Compensation

$32–$45 CAD per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, technical skills, and level of responsibility.
