Job Title: Reach Truck and Order Picker Operator Job Description
This role involves safely operating reach trucks and order pickers at a busy plumbing distribution facility, performing material handling tasks, and supporting shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations.

You will spend most of your time on material handling equipment while also completing some physically demanding tasks that require regular lifting.

Responsibilities

+ Operate reach trucks and order pickers safely and efficiently in a busy plumbing distribution environment.
+ Follow all safety standards and procedures at all times, including proper use of harnesses and other required safety equipment.
+ Use RF scanners to accurately pick, pack, and track inventory and orders.
+ Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading products and verifying shipments.
+ Handle general material handling duties such as moving, organizing, and staging products throughout the warehouse.
+ Carry out general labor tasks as needed, including manual lifting of items weighing 50+ lbs.
+ Support warehouse operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
+ Work reliably on an afternoon shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 2+ years of experience operating material handling equipment, specifically reach trucks and order pickers.
+ Minimum 2+ years of warehouse forklift experience.
+ Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks.
+ Demonstrated experience in shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading materials.
+ Ability to perform material handling and general labor tasks in a fast-paced warehouse workplace.
+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
+ Strong commitment to safety, including consistent use of harnesses and adherence to safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
+ Experience operating a combilift is considered an asset.
+ Previous experience in a plumbing distribution or similar warehouse environment is beneficial.
+ Comfort working primarily on material handling equipment with some physical labor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.47 - $22.47/hr.
