Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound business decisions. This role oversees key accounting activities, contributes to risk management, and partners with teams across the organization. Experience in financial services is valued.

Responsibilities

- Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and management reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal audits and support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
- Evaluate accounting processes and internal controls, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure accounting practices and records comply with applicable standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Use accounting software and reporting tools to maintain reliable records and improve workflow efficiency.




- Provide guidance to colleagues and collaborate with finance and operational teams on accounting matters.

Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for financial reporting and close activities.
- Strong accounting knowledge and analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and explain conclusions clearly.
- Experience with auditing, internal audits, and risk management practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools; experience implementing or improving systems is an asset.
- Financial services experience is preferred but not required.
- Solid attention to detail, organization, judgment, and communication skills.

Pay: $59,300.00-$101,000.00 per year
