Front of House Server

Full-Time | Altadore, Calgary, AB

We’re looking for an experienced Front of House Server to join Pegasus Greek Restaurant in Altadore.

This is an ideal role for someone who has experience in hospitality, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable taking ownership of the front of house, often working independently.

About the Role

This is a full-time evening position, working approximately 4–5 nights per week. On most weekdays, you’ll be the primary front of house person. This includes seating customers, answering phone calls, making drinks, and running food. We are looking for an independently driven person to maintain a well-run dining room while keeping organization and cleanliness in mind.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service in a casual fine dining environment.
- Manage the front of house independently during most weekday shifts.
- Greet guests, answer the phone, manage reservations and inquiries, and respond to delivery app orders.
- Prepare and serve wine, cocktails, and other beverages with confidence.
- Handle opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and cash-out procedures.
- Build relationships with regular guests and contribute to the friendly, community-oriented atmosphere of the restaurant.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and management to ensure smooth service.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous serving experience (1-3 years)



in a restaurant environment is required.
- Bar experience, wine knowledge, and cocktail-making experience are required.
- ProServe is required.
- Greek or Mediterranean restaurant experience is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions without constant supervision.
- Solid communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
- Living in or near Altadore or having reliable transportation to and from the neighbourhood is an asset.

Schedule & Hours

Our regular business hours are:

- Sunday–Thursday: 5:00 PM–9:00 PM
- Friday–Saturday: 5:00 PM–10:00 PM

Staff are expected to arrive 30 minutes before opening for setup and should be prepared to stay up to an hour after closing for cleaning, closing duties, and cash-out.

The position offers approximately 4–5 evening shifts per week, with scheduling discussed during the hiring process.

Compensation & Perks

- $15.00 per hour, plus tips.
