CNC Machinist – Afternoon Shift

Location: Windsor, ON
Pay Rate: $25–$35/hour, based on experience

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a manufacturing team in Windsor, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machines, working with Heidenhain or Fanuc controllers, and manually programming directly at the machine.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on machinist who can set up, operate, troubleshoot, and make program adjustments independently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components.
- Program, edit, and adjust CNC programs directly at the machine controller.
- Work with Heidenhain or Fanuc CNC controllers.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, tooling, and machining parameters.
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, and offsets as required.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or process adjustments.
- Maintain quality standards,



production targets, and a safe working environment.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area organized.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or machine shop setting.
- Hands-on experience with Heidenhain or Fanuc controllers.
- Ability to manually program at the machine controller is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and tolerances.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
