About Us
Crunch Time Basketball is a not-for-profit youth basketball organization dedicated to developing young athletes through skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive play.
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable Volunteer Scorekeepers to assist with our Saturday Crunch Time Basketball League (CTBL). This is a great opportunity for high school students looking to complete their 40-hour Ontario community service requirement, basketball enthusiasts, or anyone interested in gaining experience in youth sports.
League Schedule – Saturdays (11am - 4:30pm) 1 hour break
Volunteers may assist with one or multiple divisions based on availability.
Responsibilities
- Operate the electronic scoreboard and game clock.
- Track team scores,
fouls, and other game statistics.
- Work alongside referees and coaches to ensure games run smoothly.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before scheduled games.
- Maintain accuracy, professionalism, and good sportsmanship.
- Help create a positive and enjoyable basketball environment for young athletes.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of basketball rules is preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced sports workplace.
- Friendly attitude and strong communication skills.
- Previous scorekeeping experience is an asset but not required. Training will be provided!
