Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

This role supports the shipping and receiving operations by accurately picking, packing, and preparing online orders for shipment, as well as unloading and storing incoming inventory.

You work with paper pick lists and RF scanners, handle products weighing up to 50 lbs, and help keep the warehouse organized and running smoothly during both regular and peak seasons.

Responsibilities

+ Process online orders by reviewing order slips, verifying item accuracy, and packaging products according to the order details.
+ Use paper pick lists to locate, pick, and stage items for shipment in an effective and accurate manner.
+ Prepare packages for shipment, ensuring proper labeling, packing materials, and presentation to meet quality standards.
+ Work in the receiving department to unload trucks with new product, manually handling items up to 50 lbs.
+ Place received inventory onto appropriate shelves or storage locations, maintaining organized and accessible stock levels.
+ Operate RF guns to scan, track, and update inventory and order information as required.
+ Use general warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and, if qualified, forklifts to move and stage inventory safely.
+ Assist with inventory-related tasks, including counting, restocking, and verifying quantities and locations.
+ Follow all safety procedures when lifting, moving, and storing products, and report any hazards or issues promptly.
+ Communicate clearly in English with team members and supervisors, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
+ Support shipping activities as needed, including preparing outbound orders and organizing shipments.
+ Work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime during busy periods such as ramp-up for peak season.
+ Contribute to a positive, tight-knit team environment by collaborating closely with coworkers in a busy and sometimes chaotic warehouse setting.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 2 years of experience using RF guns in a warehouse or similar environment.
+ Previous experience in packing, picking, order picking, or general labor within a warehouse setting.
+ Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
+ Heavy lifting experience and comfort working in a physically demanding role.
+ Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written, to understand instructions and complete documentation.
+ Experience with inventory-related tasks such as stocking, counting, or organizing products.
+ Familiarity with pallet jacks and general warehouse equipment.
+ Willingness and ability to work weekends and overtime during busy periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift experience and comfort working alongside forklift operators.
+ Previous shipping experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
+ Contract-to-hire mindset with interest in transitioning to a permanent role based on performance.




+ Stable work history with consistent warehouse experience and limited job hopping.

Work Environment

This position is based in a small warehouse located in an industrial area, with warehouse workers, office staff, and forklift operators working closely together.

The dress code is casual, allowing comfortable clothing suitable for physical work.

The primary shift runs Tuesday to Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a ramp-up week focused on inventory production.

The role requires mandatory availability on weekends during busy times, including Saturdays and Sundays, and the ability to work overtime as needed to support peak operations

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
