Job Summary

- Provide attentive, welcoming service to guests in a restaurant or other food-service setting.
- Take orders, answer menu questions, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate, timely service.
- Create a positive hospitality experience through clear communication, attention to detail, and thoughtful guest services.

Duties

- Greet guests, present menus, and explain food and beverage options.
- Take orders and enter them accurately using a POS system; experience with Micros POS is helpful.
- Serve food and beverages, check in with guests, and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Communicate special requests and dietary needs to the kitchen, following food-handling and food-safety practices.
- Prepare dining areas before service and clear, clean, and reset tables afterward.
- Process payments, operate the register, and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Recommend menu items and use appropriate upselling techniques.
- Maintain clean,



sanitary dining and service areas in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with coworkers to support smooth service and an organized dining room.

Requirements

- Strong customer-service, communication, and hospitality skills.
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills, including accuracy with orders and payments.
- Familiarity with POS systems; Micros POS experience is a plus.
- Food-service, serving, restaurant, food-industry, or guest-services experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and sanitation practices is preferred.
- Food preparation or kitchen experience is helpful but not required.
- Dependability, teamwork, attention to detail, and a qualified approach to guest interactions.

Pay: $15.00-$26.29 per hour
