Willow and Sage Counselling
Burnaby
We are looking for a warm, positive, and engaging Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) to join our practice and work with children, youth, and their families.
Our practice supports children and youth ages 2–18 with a wide range of developmental, emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, selective mutism, emotional regulation and behavioural challenges, PANS/PANDAS, and related concerns.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field
- Current Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation in BC
- Experience providing counselling to children and/or adolescents
- Comfortable working collaboratively with parents and caregivers
- Experience with directive, skills-based approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed strategies, emotional regulation, executive functioning, social skills, and behavioural strategies
- Behaviour Intervention experience under the supervision of a BCBA is highly preferred
- Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, behavioural concerns, and other developmental or mental health needs
- Warm, friendly, playful, reliable, and able to build strong relationships with children and parents
We are looking for someone interested in a long-term commitment to the practice who is collaborative, receptive to feedback, professional, and comfortable developing greater independence over time.
Compensation
Compensation begins at a 50/50 split for the first three months, giving both the clinician and practice an opportunity to ensure the position is a good mutual fit.
From there, there is opportunity for the split to grow over time based on experience within the practice, caseload, reliability, and level of independence. Our compensation structure offers the potential to progress up to an 80/20 split in favour of the clinician.
The 80/20 split represents our highest level and is generally reached by long-term clinicians who have demonstrated exceptional work, developed a robust and consistent caseload, and work with a high degree of independence—typically after 2+ years with the practice.
