Recycling Sorters

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Location: Rocky View County, AB T1X 1X1
Shifts Available:

- Morning Shift: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Job Description

Our client is seeking reliable and hardworking Recycling Sorters to join a busy Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in the Calgary area. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to workplace safety and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

- Sort recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, and metals from conveyor belts.
- Identify and remove non-recyclable materials and contaminants.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure recyclable materials meet processing standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general labour duties as assigned.
- Support efficient recycling operations and environmental initiatives.

Qualifications

- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite is required.
- Ability to work either the morning or afternoon shift.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.




- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift moderate weights.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, or general labour environment is an asset but not required.
