Gangnam & Coco is a Korean restaurant looking for a reliable, motivated person who enjoys learning and working as part of a team.

Whether you're completely new to cooking or have some kitchen experience, you're welcome to apply! We provide step-by-step, hands-on training.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Wash, cut, portion, and organize ingredients for food preparation.
- Learn our Korean menu and standard recipes while assisting experienced cooks.
- Gradually cook assigned dishes and handle some orders independently after training and evaluation.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures; clean work areas and equipment.
- Help with opening preparation, and closing duties.
- Occasionally help with takeout packaging, taking simple orders, or basic counter tasks. Your main role is in the kitchen.
- Build cooking speed, accuracy, and multitasking skills through practice and coaching.





WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- No cooking experience required — beginners are welcome!
- Interest in Korean food and a willingness to learn kitchen work.
- Dependable, hygiene-conscious, team-oriented, and comfortable in a busy environment.
- Weekend and holiday availability is an asset.

WHAT WE OFFER

- Full time position; 17–20 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
- A free staff meal on workdays — choose from our menu.
- A 30-minute break free from work duties (you may leave the premises).
- Paid, step-by-step on-the-job training and opportunities to take on more cooking responsibilities.
- Vacation pay in accordance with Alberta employment standards.
