Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced South Indian Chef to lead kitchen operations and prepare authentic, high-quality South Indian dishes. The ideal candidate combines strong cooking and food preparation skills with a commitment to food safety, hospitality, and effective team leadership. This role works closely with front-of-house staff to deliver a welcoming, consistent dining experience.

Duties

- Prepare and cook South Indian dishes, including maintaining consistent flavor, quality, and presentation.
- Plan daily food preparation and coordinate kitchen workflow to support timely service.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures, including proper storage and temperature control.
- Monitor ingredient quality and kitchen supplies, and communicate replenishment needs.
- Supervise kitchen staff, assign tasks, and support training and development.
- Promote teamwork, clear communication, and efficient service during busy periods.
- Coordinate with serving and food service staff to address orders and guest needs.




- Support restaurant management with kitchen operations and contribute to a positive hospitality environment.
- Assist with serving or bartending duties when needed and appropriate to the operation.

Qualifications

- Professional cooking experience, preferably preparing South Indian cuisine.
- Experience in food preparation, food handling, and food safety practices.
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or the broader food industry.
- Food service experience and an understanding of restaurant operations.
- Supervising experience, team management skills, and demonstrated leadership.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- A hospitality-focused approach and the ability to maintain quality and composure in a fast-paced setting.
- Bartending or serving experience is a plus.

Pay: $40,800.00-$109,000.00 per year
