Clothstudio is a busy workshop in Richmond that makes high-quality linen window treatments and other soft goods. This is an entry-level, part-time seamstress role, and the right candidate can grow into a full-time position with benefits. You'll start out working alongside our experienced seamstresses and staff, and take on more as you learn our methods.
What you'll bring
- At least 3 years of experience on industrial sewing machines
- Working knowledge of the industrial straight stitch and industrial serger, including basic troubleshooting (this is a must)
- Bonus if you've used a blind hemmer, zig zag or needle-feed machine
- Comfort with hand sewing
- Comfort working with spreadsheets
- Able to stand and sit for long periods
- Able to carry up to 30 pounds
- Comfortable working on ladders
