Responsibilities
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials and supplies around the work site
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing, and setting up tools and equipment
- Support skilled tradespeople by handing tools and materials as needed
- Perform basic demolition tasks or site cleanup to maintain a safe and tidy environment
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries
- Operate simple machinery or power tools under supervision when required
- Help with site inspections and report any hazards or issues to supervisors promptly
Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and willingness to follow instructions carefully
- Positive communication skills to understand directions and collaborate with team members
- Basic understanding of construction sites or willingness to learn industry-specific practices
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute positively to team efforts
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities on the job site
- Prior experience in construction or manual labour is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
