Casa 1881 is seeking polished, professional, and guest-focused people to join our Italian restaurant and lounge inside The Windsor Hotel.

We are hiring Captains / Lead Servers, Servers, Bartenders, Hosts, and Server Assistants / Food Runners. Whether you are an experienced hospitality professional or looking to develop your skills in restaurant service, we welcome applicants who take pride in looking after guests and supporting their team.

We work as one team. Running food, clearing plates, resetting tables, and keeping service areas organized are shared responsibilities. Everyone contributes to a smooth service from setup through closing.

Available Roles

Captain / Lead Server

A senior serving position for someone who leads by example while managing their own section.

- Deliver knowledgeable, attentive food and wine service
- Guide guests through the menu and coordinate the timing of their meal
- Support and coach servers and service assistants
- Help coordinate section readiness, table maintenance, and service flow
- Lead opening or closing checks as assigned
- Communicate guest concerns promptly to the floor manager/Hotel Manager

Server

- Deliver attentive, personalized table service
- Explain dishes, ingredients, features, and beverage/wine selections confidently
- Take accurate orders, operate the POS, and process payments




- Anticipate guest needs and manage meal pacing, including theatre departure times
- Pre-bus, clear, and reset tables throughout service
- Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work duties

Bartender

- Prepare cocktails and other beverages consistently and efficiently
- Provide welcoming, attentive service to bar guests
- Maintain knowledge of the wine, cocktail, and food menus
- Keep the bar clean, stocked, and organized
- Complete bar preparation, restocking, and closing duties
- Coordinate with servers and support staff to maintain timely beverage service

Host

- Welcome guests warmly and manage arrivals professionally
- Coordinate reservations, seating, and waitlists
- Communicate guest requests, occasions, and theatre timings
- Monitor table readiness and coordinate seating with the floor manager
- Assist with menus, table resets, and other service support as needed

Server Assistant / Food Runner

- Deliver dishes accurately and communicate with the kitchen and serving team
- Assist with water service, clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables
- Wash and polish glassware and cutlery as assigned
- Restock service stations and support bar replenishment
- Maintain clean, organized guest and service areas
- Complete opening and closing duties

This is a dedicated support role with opportunities to develop into serving as skills and positions allow.

Qualifications

- A warm, professional manner and a strong commitment to hospitality




- Willingness to help beyond your own section or assigned station
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to stay composed and work efficiently during busy service
- Relevant restaurant experience for server and bartender positions
- Strong serving experience and demonstrated leadership for captain applicants
- Experience is an asset for host and service assistant roles; a willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine, wine, cocktails, or specialty coffee is an asset
- Valid Smart Serve certification for positions involving alcohol service
- Food Handler certification is an asset
- Valid authorization to work in Canada
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the role, with accommodation where required

Availability

Evening and weekend availability is required. Shifts may include:

- Dinner and happy hour
- Weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Breakfast, brunch, or lunch assignments based on business needs and the position (during peak season)
- Opening preparation and closing duties
