Project Overview
The Backend Developer plays a critical role in building, maintaining, and evolving SafetyCo's Learning Management System (LMS) and supporting technology infrastructure.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining the backend functionality that powers our digital learning platform. This includes custom WordPress plugins, APIs, integrations, database architecture, system functionality, and ongoing platform improvements.
You will translate business and technical requirements into reliable, scalable solutions while ensuring the platform remains secure, stable, effective, and easy to maintain.

We’re looking for people who take ownership, think independently, and have the confidence to make decisions, solve problems, and move things forward without waiting to be told what to do. If you’re energized by building something from the ground up, thrive in an ambitious environment, and want the chance to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.
Why This Role Exists
The Backend Developer builds and maintains the technology behind SafetyCo’s LMS, ensuring it is reliable, secure, scalable, and easy to evolve.
