Country Home Care by Stonewood Residence is a charming, 10-resident assisted living home located in the countryside of Stouffville. Our small, intimate setting allows us to provide personalized care while creating a warm, family-like atmosphere for both residents and staff.

Your Role

As a Personal Support Worker, you will play an important role in ensuring our residents feel safe, comfortable, respected, and well cared for.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing compassionate, resident-centred personal care and support.
- Assisting with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Supporting residents with their daily routines while encouraging independence and dignity.
- Assisting with medication management in accordance with training and assigned responsibilities.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' health, behaviour, or overall well-being.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the care team.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
- Working collaboratively with fellow caregivers to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment.

Live-In Accommodation Arrangement

This position includes on-site accommodation, offering a unique chance to combine meaningful employment with the benefits of countryside living.

While regular overnight shifts are not required, the successful candidate must reside on-site between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM to be available to assist in the event of an emergency.

Specific working hours, emergency-response expectations, and compensation arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications:

- Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification.
- Previous experience supporting seniors, preferably in assisted living or a similar care environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caregiving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
- Commitment to resident safety, dignity, privacy, and quality of care.
