POSITION SUMMARY:

The position, under the direction of the Materials & Scheduling Manager, is primarily responsible for scheduling of orders and the preparation of all production documentation, as well as providing inventory control of all raw materials in the warehouse. Assists in the administrative tasks of receiving and line feeding activities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scheduling/Production Planning:

- Releasing and level loading orders
- Scheduling production runs
- Printing and distribution of all production documents
- Maintaining Mill schedule
- Processing and distribution of special quotes and drawings
- Preparation of non-system created material and cut lists, and special instructions

Material coordination:

- Perform cycle counts and making inventory adjustments in system
- Managing Kanban materials such as labels and other shop supplies
- Coordinates paint orders with purchasing and warehouse.
- Manages scrap reports.




- Processing of packing slips
- Assist in updating Material reports such as the “ETA” report
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

- Grade 12 Highschool diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in inventory control and/or scheduling within a manufacturing workplace
- Experience within the window and door or woodworking industry is considered is asset
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft office
- Experience using ERP and MRP software systems

ATTRIBUTES:

- Must have great attention to detail and be organized
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Mix between office and plant environment with noise, dust, and temperature variations
- Regular Hours Monday to Friday, occasional overtime required
- Frequent interruptions and changing priorities

Pay: $52,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
