If you have strong opinions about a brand’s Instagram, we should probably talk.
About The Loft
The Loft is a boutique creative and fashion marketing agency based in Montreal and New York. We work with fashion and lifestyle brands on campaigns, content, and social, creating work that is elevated, thoughtful, and actually made to be seen.
We care about good taste, strong ideas, and even stronger execution. We also believe the best social content usually comes from people who are actually paying attention to what is happening around them.
The Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our team and work across our fashion and lifestyle clients, while also taking real ownership of The Loft’s own social media.
You’ll be involved in the full process, from figuring out what content we need and capturing it, to planning the calendar, editing, publishing, working with creators, and making sure everything actually feels like the brand.
For our clients, you’ll be on set capturing the moments that happen between the polished campaign shots, creating social-first content, supporting UGC, and helping turn ideas into content people actually want to watch.
For The Loft, you’ll have the freedom to help shape how we show up online. You’ll showcase our work, bring people behind the scenes, introduce our team, share what’s happening in the studio, and find the little everyday moments that make The Loft feel like The Loft. You won’t just be managing our calendar. You’ll be helping decide what belongs on it.
You need to be comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.
You might be filming a shoot one minute and appearing in a Reel the next. Whether it’s talking through an idea, trying a trend, showing the studio, or turning something that happened during the week into content.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to actually make things, not just move posts around in a scheduler.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of The Loft’s social media, from content ideas and planning through to publishing
- Plan and maintain monthly social media calendars across The Loft and client accounts
- Come up with social-first content ideas that feel relevant, natural, and on-brand
- Capture content during photoshoots, production days, events, office days, and everyday moments
- Create Reels, TikToks, Stories, UGC, and other social-first content
- Be confidently and regularly in front of the camera for The Loft and client content
- Edit short-form video and static content using CapCut and Canva
- Manage scheduling and publishing while maintaining each brand’s voice and visual identity
- Work with UGC creators and help guide content from concept through delivery
- Stay on top of Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest trends, formats, sounds, and cultural moments
- Know when a trend is worth jumping on and when it is better left on your For You page
- Manage PR-related tasks and coordinate with partners as needed
- Engage with communities through comments, DMs, and social interactions
What You Bring
- A genuine interest in social media, fashion, culture, and digital content
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest
- A good visual eye and a sense of what makes content feel elevated without feeling overly produced
- Access to a high-quality iPhone for content creation
- Strong CapCut skills and working knowledge of Canva
- A good instinct for trends, culture, and what makes people stop scrolling
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work quickly without letting the quality slip
- A proactive personality and the ability to take ownership
The Opportunity
You’ll work from our Montreal studio and be part of the creative process from the inside, surrounded by fashion projects, shoots, styling, meetings, clients, and plenty of content opportunities along the way.
You’ll get exposure to how brands are built across strategy, production, content, and social, while having your own space to shape how The Loft shows up online.
This is a full-time Montreal-based role. If you’re looking for a role where you can actually make things, have a point of view, and see your ideas go from “we should do this” to “it’s posted,” we’d love to hear from you.
