We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Retail Store Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works independently, and understands the importance of maintaining high cleanliness standards in a retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the store
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, staff areas, and high-touch surfaces
- Dust shelves, fixtures, displays, and baseboards
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and replace liners
- Clean glass doors, mirrors, and windows
- Spot clean walls and remove marks as needed
- Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly
- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed within scheduled timeframes
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience preferred (retail or commercial an asset)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- Comfortable standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
- Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning products
