Overview

Join the team at Ashkadeh Farahzad, a Persian soup and sandwich shop in North Vancouver, as a Kitchen Helper. You’ll support the kitchen team with food preparation, dishwashing, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. This is a paid position and a great opportunity to gain experience in a friendly, fast-paced food service environment.

Duties

- Help with food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients
- Assist with meal assembly during service
- Clean kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
- Follow food safety, storage, sanitation, and workplace safety practices
- Work with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly

Requirements

- Reliable and punctual




- Available to work during the day and on weekends
- Able to work extended shifts and stand for long periods
- Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
- Positive attitude and good teamwork skills
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is preferred but not required
- Basic food preparation skills and food safety knowledge are an asset
