Experienced Autism Support Aide

A Unique Career Opportunity | $85,000 + Extended Health Benefits

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and genuinely caring Autism Support Aide to join a private family and professional support team working with an incredible young man.

This is much more than a traditional support position. It is an opportunity for the right person to become an important part of a young man's life — building trust, creating meaningful experiences, developing independence and, along the way, making a new best friend.

He is active, curious, social and loves to be on the go. His interests include sports, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, cooking, baking and developing practical life skills. No two days are exactly the same, and this role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys being active, creative and engaged.

The Role

You will work closely with the family and a team of skilled educators and support professionals to provide consistent, thoughtful and engaging support.

The successful candidate will:

- Provide one-to-one support in the home and community
- Participate in sports, outdoor activities, recreation and social experiences
- Support the development of independence and practical life skills
- Encourage participation in cooking, baking, arts and crafts and other interests
- Help plan and create meaningful daily experiences
- Build a genuine, trusting relationship and friendship
- Work collaboratively with the family and professional team
- Bring energy, patience, creativity and a positive attitude to each day
- Be goal-oriented and committed to making a meaningful difference

- Truly enjoys being active and involved
- Is enthusiastic, dependable and compassionate
- Enjoys sports, recreation and outdoor activities
- Is creative and willing to try new things
- Has a natural ability to build relationships
- Takes pride in helping someone reach their goals
- Is looking for a stable, long-term position rather than a short-term job

Requirements

- Previous experience supporting an autistic individual
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable personal vehicle required for transportation to and from work
- A vehicle will be provided for use during working hours
- Ability to work collaboratively with a family and professional team

- Commitment to a long-term position

What We Offer

- $85,000 annual salary
- Extended health benefits
- Reliable, long-term employment
- A highly supportive family and professional team
- A unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life
- The opportunity to build a genuine friendship and become an important part of a young person's world

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who doesn't simply want a job, but wants a career built around purpose, connection and making a difference.
