Huong Lan Restaurant is a family-run Vietnamese restaurant that has been serving Nanaimo for 28 years. We’re known for our pho, vermicelli bowls, and the kind of service that makes regulars feel like family. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable server to join our front-of-house team.

What you’ll do

- Greet and seat guests, take orders, and serve food and drinks
- Learn the menu well enough to recommend dishes and answer questions about ingredients and allergies
- Handle payments on our POS system
- Answer phone orders and prepare takeout orders
- Keep the dining room, tables, and server station clean and stocked
- Help with opening and closing duties

What we’re looking for

- Friendly, positive attitude. We can teach service, but we can’t teach warmth.
- Reliable and on time
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, especially during lunch and dinner rushes
- Previous serving experience is an asset but not required. We’ll train the right person.
- Serving It Right certification, or willingness to get it




- Speaking Vietnamese is an asset but not required

What we offer

- Wage: $18.25 + Tip. Expect to make up to $40/hour on busy night.
