Walnut Grove Salon is seeking an experienced hairdresser who enjoys helping clients look and feel their best. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, a welcoming approach, and a commitment to excellent customer service. You’ll provide personalized hair services, maintain a clean and organized station, and contribute to a positive salon experience.

Duties

- Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable services, and set clear expectations.
- Provide professional haircuts, coloring, treatments, and hair styling tailored to each client.
- Build lasting client relationships through attentive service and transparent communication.
- Recommend relevant salon products and services, using thoughtful upselling and retail sales practices.
- Support front desk operations as needed, including welcoming clients, coordinating appointments, and helping maintain an orderly reception area.
- Sanitize tools and workstations between clients and follow salon hygiene and safety practices.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for appointments.
- Stay current with hair trends, techniques, and salon services.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience as a hairdresser or hairstylist, with a portfolio or examples of work preferred.
- Strong hair styling skills and knowledge of common salon services and products.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable discussing product recommendations and supporting retail sales and upselling.
- Able to assist with front desk tasks and contribute to smooth salon operations.
- Reliable, organized, and attentive to sanitation, cleanliness, and client comfort.
- Current cosmetology license required, or the applicable professional credential for the role.

Pay: $18.25-$44.65 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
