Job Overview

Our employer partner is seeking an Order Picker to join its Warehouse & Distribution team in Scarborough, Ontario.





Reporting to the Warehouse & Distribution Operations Supervisor, the Order Picker is responsible for selecting and assembling warehouse merchandise according to customer purchase orders, ensuring orders are accurate, properly palletized, and ready for distribution. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse workplace.

Duties

- Pick and assemble customer orders, including orders for retail stores.
- Assemble and palletize products by customer in a secure, shipment-ready manner.
- Report damaged products and inventory discrepancies.
- Follow First Expired, First Out (FEFO) and First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory procedures.
- Ensure picking accuracy by selecting the correct products and quantities.
- Meet warehouse and distribution productivity targets.
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements and help maintain the security of the building and inventory.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained in good working condition.
- Work in walk-in coolers and freezers as required, including environments ranging from -30°C to 4°C.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

- Valid pallet jack licence preferred.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays.




- Ability to count accurately and verify order quantities.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to work in cold environments, including temperatures ranging from -30°C to 4°C.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and respond promptly and accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and reach overhead.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure.
