Job Description:

Responsible for estimating work as scheduled by the lead estimator for bid. The Electrical Estimator will price small to large size electrical projects from the bottom up as well all field change orders. This position is best suited for an electrician or working engineer who has field/estimating experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Preparing project bids utilizing Electrical Estimation Software, as well as submittal packages and change orders
- Developing plans for design -build work.
- Responsible controlling for computerized estimating system, database, labor factors, and updates.
- Production rate tracking and production reporting.
- Track and analyze competition and market pricing.
- Working with Architects to provide pre-bid services.
- Coordinating client issues and concerns to dispatcher or supervisors.
- Site reviews with electrical staff
- The coordination and handoff of projects
- Other related duties as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements:





- 309A Electrician's Certificate or Electrical Engineering degree
- Previous experience in the field as an Electrician or Working Engineer
- Proven experience with Accubid (or Trimble) software or similar
- Ability to read architectural, structural and MEPF plans and specifications.
- Experience estimating up to an electrical scope value of $15 Million is considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Plan Swift, Autodesk Quantity Takeoff software or any related estimating software experience preferred.
- Effective and skilled written and verbal communication
- The ability to work overtime when necessary.

Prerequisites Include:

Valid, current passport

Completely clean police record, (required for Cayman Islands work permit).

Valid and clean driver's license.

Willing and able to relocate to Grand Cayman. This position is not ideal for candidates with child dependents or pets

Salary and Benefits:

KYD$53,000 - KYD$67,500 ($89,920 – $110,320 CDN NET INCOME - The Cayman Islands is income tax free)
