Early Childhood Educator – Infant Toddler (ECE-ITT)

Start: Urgent / Immediate

Job Responsibilities

* Provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.

* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities based on children’s interests, development, and individual needs.

* Follow the centre’s daily schedule, policies, and procedures.

* Maintain accurate daily records, observations, attendance, and documentation.

* Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and families.

* Work collaboratively with other educators and the centre management team.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.

* Follow proper diapering, feeding, sleeping, and hygiene procedures.

* Supervise children at all times and maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios.

* Respond appropriately to children’s emotional, physical, and developmental needs.

* Participate in emergency procedures and maintain a safe environment.

Licensing & Professional Requirements

The successful candidate must:

* Hold a valid BC ECE Infant Toddler (ECE-IT) certification.

* Have a good understanding of BC Child Care Licensing Regulations and requirements.





* Follow all applicable health, safety, supervision, and childcare licensing standards.

* Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

* Have current First Aid certification as required.

* Be willing to complete all required centre documentation, training, and licensing requirements.

* Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, patience, and a genuine interest in working with infants and toddlers.

Experience

Previous experience working with infants and toddlers is preferred.

Wage: Competitive wage based on education, qualifications, and previous experience.
