Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Biometric Screening Nurse (RN/RPN) to join our healthcare team. This role involves conducting biometric health assessments and screenings in various settings, including corporate wellness programs, clinics, and community events. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, experience with patient care, and familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner. A background in hospital, acute care, or senior care environments is highly valued. The Biometric Screening Nurse will play a vital role in promoting health awareness and supporting preventative healthcare initiatives through accurate data collection and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

- Conduct biometric screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose levels, BMI, and other vital signs using standardized procedures.
- Collect blood samples via phlebotomy with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Document patient data accurately within electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Assist patients with understanding their biometric results and provide basic health education when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Manage patient flow efficiently during screening events to maximize throughput while maintaining quality care.
- Support case management efforts by identifying at-risk individuals for follow-up or additional services.




- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Participate in ongoing training related to medical terminology, medication administration, pain management, dementia care, pediatric care, home care, assisted living, senior care, and laboratory procedures as needed.

Experience

- Valid RN or RPN licensure with current registration.
- Prior experience working in hospital settings, acute care units, nursing homes, or senior/dementia care environments is preferred.
- Experience with biometric screening programs or community health initiatives is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated competence in phlebotomy and laboratory specimen collection.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and patient care best practices.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and elderly patients is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to educate patients effectively during health assessments.

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
