Get paid well when the snow falls.
Checkmate Landscape is a 5.0-rated SW Calgary company with 145+ five-star Google reviews. We’re hiring 4 snow removal crew members to start right away for the 2026/27 winter. Our snow contracts begin November 1.

Pay

- $20/hr starting wage, with the chance to earn up to $26/hr through performance-based pay
- Performance-based pay (P4P): you earn a percentage of the revenue you produce, so efficient, quality work pays more
- Monthly reliability bonus: miss no snowfalls and earn $100. Miss one and earn $50.
- Paid training
- Extra hours available if you want them

What you’ll do

- Clear driveways, walkways, and steps for residential clients
- Operate a snow blower, shovel, backpack blower, and truck, and spread ice melt
- Work as part of a small crew. Shifts run 7 to 10 hours depending on the snowfall.

Extra hours, if you want them
Between storms, you can pick up paid work like fall cleanups, shop and equipment maintenance, and truck cleaning. If you’d rather just come out for snowfalls, that’s fine too.

What we’re looking for

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in your work
- Class 5 licence, since you’ll likely be driving a truck

- Clean 3-year driving abstract (required)
- Reliable transportation to get to and from work on time
- On-call availability 7 days a week during the winter, so we’re ready to go when it snows
- Ideally you live close to our shop in Cougar Ridge

Gear: bring your own snow pants, boots, and jacket. We provide a Checkmate visor and vest.
