The position also includes operational responsibilities related to bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, accrual accounting, as well as the management and analysis of volume rebates in SAP. Financial Reporting & Analysis Participate in the preparation of financial statements (standalone, aggregated, and consolidated) and ensure their accuracy Collect, analyze, and prepare financial data related to the general ledger Prepare reports and analyses for management Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses Balance Sheet & Accounting Operations Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate variances Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data Controls & Compliance Plan and execute certain internal control procedures Participate in the preparation of annual external audits Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA designation (or in progress) ~3–5 years of accounting experience (5+ years in management accounting – robust asset) ~ Experience in manufacturing, transformation, or distribution environments ~ Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, etc.) ~ Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA (rebate module – asset) ~ Bilingualism required: Proficiency in English is necessary due to frequent interactions with predominantly English-speaking pan-Canadian partners.
