This is a leadership role in a 100% remote gaming marketing agency and publisher. VAL runs VR-focused marketing campaigns and works with a select number of devs to publish their games. This role will oversee a number of direct reports and is responsible for client comms, operations implementation, and client operations from start to finish.
We are looking for someone who has a heart for team dynamics and cares about external teams. The best person for this role will be someone who has a great ability to build, document and enhance processes, while also keeping projects running smoothly in an agency workplace.
At VAL we care deeply about the long term success of games and bring our best efforts for launches, live service, and publishing. We work with both VR and 2D studios, blending influencer strategy, creator-led content, smart performance marketing, and hands-on creative execution. We work directly with Meta and have done high profile work for studios like Ubisoft, Among Us, Nerf, The Walking Dead, Square Enix and 150+ other studios.Responsibilities
- Oversee the project management, ads, and community teams, keeping timelines and deliverables on track.
- Spot process gaps, build better systems, and keep the agency moving forward efficiently.
- Own operations documentation, onboarding, and training - for both internal staff and external collaborators.
- Drive client communication, personally and through the team members who manage client accounts.
- Run reporting in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Work directly with game dev teams and studios
- Ensure smooth delivery across influencer marketing, ads, and social projects. Who You Are
- You’ve managed people and know the highs and lows that come with it and have 2+ years of leading a team.
- You must be able to understand and do basic marketing math, statistics and calculations such as ratios, click through rates,



and profit calculations.
- At least two years in a marketing agency or in a similar operations role within tech or gaming.
- You’ve done real operations work — whether that’s formal training or just being the person everyone relied on to make things run.
- Some experience in project management software such as asana, trello, jira, monday, clickup or other similar tools required.
- You care about gaming, creators, and marketing and you want to be around people who love this space.
- You’re strong at cross-team coordination and can keep creative, marketing, and media teams aligned and moving. - $65-80K /year, depending on experience
