CRITICAL CARE POSITION

LOCATION:
FULL TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. END DATE AUGUST 2027) REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENTWAGE RATE: $41.15
- $58.98 Reporting to the Manager of Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy, the registered nurse focuses on the promotion of health and the assessment of the provision of care of and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic means to critical ill adults and occasionally children, during the critical phase of their illness in order that the client may return to, attain, or maintain optimal function. Ontario College of Nurses registration ~3 years of recent Critical Care experience ~ Critical Care Certificate ~ Demonstrates an ability to think critically and respond effectively in emergency situations ~ Excellent communication, customer service and collaboration skills with patients,



families and other healthcare professionals ~ Ongoing participation with College of Nurses Reflective Practice ~ Willingness to routinely participate in staff meetings and unit specific projects ~ Completion of all unit specific certifications and Delegated Medical Acts or willingness to do so within allotted time frame ~ Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision ~ Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records ~ Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment ~ Coronary Care Certificate
