MVT is seeking Seasonal Snow Plow Operators to support Barrie Transit from November 2026 to March 2027. You will ensure service stops are well-maintained and secure, utilizing both snow removal equipment and cleaning supplies. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, possess a valid G Ontario Driver's License, and have experience in driving and cleaning operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove snow from sidewalks surrounding transit stops
- Clean and maintain transit service stop facilities
- Gather and empty trash and recycling bins
- Operate snow blowers and shovels safely
- Document deficiencies needing maintenance and supplies
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid G Ontario Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Clear Criminal Background Check
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety practices
