Job Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Account Manager (Outside Sales) – Life & Health to build key relationships with Life Health and Disability Insurers in Alberta and parts of Canada.

The Outside Sales Account

Manager will have a through understanding of working with disability claims managers and team leads and posses the professional and social network in Edmonton and Calgary to navigate these business and reach the decision maker.

Duties

- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients through in-person meetings, outreach, and follow-up.

- Identify client needs and explain relevant life and health insurance options in a clear, qualified manner.

- Generate leads and pursue new business through outside sales, referrals, community networking, and other approved outreach methods.

- Support sales efforts through telemarketing, marketing activities, and timely follow-up with prospects.

- Provide responsive customer service, answer questions, and help clients navigate account and policy-related requests.

- Apply negotiation and consultative selling skills to address client concerns and guide conversations toward appropriate next steps.

- Maintain accurate client records, sales activity, and follow-up tasks using established sales administration processes.

- Review sales and account information,



identify trends, and use analysis skills to prioritize outreach and improve client service.

- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate client needs and support business goals.

- Communicate professionally with clients from varied backgrounds; bilingual or multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, are valued.

Experience

- Experience in sales, outside sales, insurance sales, or account management is preferred.

- Background in retail sales, telemarketing, marketing, or customer-facing service is also relevant.

- Strong communication skills, active listening, organization, and follow-through.

- Ability to build trust, understand customer needs, and explain information clearly.

- Comfort with prospecting, relationship development, and managing multiple client interactions.

- Familiarity with sales tracking, client records, or other sales administration tasks is an advantage.

- Bilingual or multilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $77,000.00-$151,000.00 per year
