High Tide Electric is a locally owned and operated electrical contractor based in the Truro area, providing residential and commercial electrical services throughout Nova Scotia. Along with our regular electrical work, we've developed a strong focus on solar energy, completing installations for homeowners and businesses across the province. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform maintenance and service tasks for electrical/solar customers
- Diagnose and repair electrical/solar systems and electrical components
- Evaluate systems accurately for maintenance, warranty, design and other purposes
- Collaborate closely with engineering team to resolve technical issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- New construction wiring in residential and commercial settings




- Installation of on roof/ground mount solar system electrical and equipment
- Maintain compliance with all High Tide Electric Safety policies and practices

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- 1st,2nd & 3rd year indentured Apprentice
- Must possess a current, valid Driver's license
- Working knowledge of the CEC required
- Must be willing to travel for some projects
- Very strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Able to work an adjusting schedule
- Projects a professional appearance
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds. Assistance may be provided for oversized items. Also, must be comfortable working at heights
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and drive for up to 8-12 hours a day
- Work postures include reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing, and handling objects above/below the shoulders

EDUCATION/CERTFICATES:

- Solar Installation Training is considered an asset
- Trades Certificates is considered an asset
- First Aid, WHIMS & Fall Protection, Arial Lift Training is considered an asset
