Job Summary

A&W; is seeking a dependable, customer-focused team member to help deliver friendly service and quality food in a fast-paced restaurant setting. This role may include food preparation, serving customers, cashiering, and keeping the dining and kitchen areas clean and sanitary. Applicants should be comfortable working as part of a team and balancing multiple tasks during busy periods.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers, answer questions, take orders, and provide attentive customer service.

- Operate a POS system, including Micros POS where applicable, to process orders and payments accurately.

- Handle cash and other payment methods, provide correct change, and follow cash-handling procedures.

- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes, portion standards, and food-safety practices.

- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures in the kitchen and service areas.

- Keep workstations, equipment, and customer areas clean, organized, and stocked.





- Use basic math to process transactions, check orders, and support accurate food preparation.

- Recommend menu items and use appropriate upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience.

- Manage time effectively, communicate with coworkers, and help maintain smooth service during busy shifts.

Experience

- Food service, restaurant, food industry, serving, cashiering, or kitchen experience is helpful.

- Familiarity with POS systems, including Micros POS, is an asset; training may be provided.

- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling and order entry are important.

- Understanding of food safety, food handling, and sanitation practices is preferred.

- Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills are valued.

Pay: $17.95-$22.00 per hour
