Job Summary

- The Bakery Clerk prepares and serves bakery items while providing friendly, efficient customer service.
- This role supports daily bakery operations, including food preparation, product presentation, order processing, and maintaining a clean, sanitary work area.

- The ideal candidate is attentive, dependable, and comfortable working with customers, food, and point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, portion, package, and display bakery and other food items according to established procedures.

- Serve customers, answer questions about products, and provide courteous, helpful service.
- Process purchases using a POS system.
- Order taking and keeping the service area stocked and organized.

- Recommend products and use appropriate upselling techniques to support customer needs.
- Follow food handling and food safety practices, including proper storage and temperature control.
- Clean and sanitize counters, utensils,



equipment, and work areas throughout the shift.

- Manage tasks efficiently while balancing customer service, food preparation, and other daily duties.

Experience

- Food service, restaurant, serving, kitchen, or other food industry experience is preferred but not required.

- Experience with food preparation and customer service is an asset.
- Familiarity with POS systems is helpful
- Attention to detail are needed to follow recipes or portioning instructions.

- Knowledge of food safety, food handling, and sanitation practices is preferred.
- Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills are valued.

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
