Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, dependable Budtender to provide knowledgeable, welcoming service in a retail cannabis environment. In this customer-facing role, you’ll help guests understand available products, complete purchases accurately, and maintain an organized, compliant sales floor. Prior retail or hospitality experience is helpful; training on store procedures and product knowledge will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers, listen to their needs, and provide attentive, professional customer service.
- Explain product features and options clearly, following applicable laws, store policies, and age-verification procedures.
- Recommend suitable products and use thoughtful upselling when appropriate.
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system; handle cash and other approved payment methods.
- Assist with cashiering, basic calculations, and balancing or reconciling transactions as assigned.
- Restock, arrange, and merchandise products; keep displays and the sales area clean, orderly, and presentable.
- Use computer systems to look up products, enter information, and complete routine documentation.
- Support inventory organization, filing, and other administrative tasks.




- Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, manage time during busy periods, and contribute to a collaborative team.
- Follow workplace safety practices, including safe handling and movement of merchandise.

Skills

- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming hospitality mindset.
- Retail sales, cashiering, cash handling, and POS experience are valuable.
- Basic math skills and confidence with computer operation and general computer skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, is an asset.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.
- Ability to support merchandising, filing, and routine administrative duties.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform occasional heavy lifting, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
- Skilled English communication skills required; French, bilingual, or other multilingual abilities are an asset.
- Leadership, reliability, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn product knowledge and store procedures.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
