Job Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance domain experience and knowledge of actuarial pricing and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience gathering and documenting business requirements, managing stakeholders, coordinating project activities, and supporting business intelligence and reporting initiatives.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, actuarial and pricing teams, and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Work with actuarial, pricing, underwriting, and reporting teams to understand business processes and requirements.
- Support actuarial pricing and reporting initiatives within the Property & Casualty insurance domain.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, business specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirement-gathering sessions, and working discussions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical deliverables.
- Coordinate project activities, track milestones, and support timely delivery of project requirements.




- Collaborate with BI and data teams to define reporting requirements and validate reports against business needs.
- Support requirements validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to business processes and reporting capabilities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance industry.
- Knowledge of actuarial pricing, insurance pricing processes, and pricing-related reporting.
- Strong experience in business requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience coordinating project activities and working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with business intelligence and reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Experience supporting insurance data analysis, dashboards, reporting enhancements, or pricing analytics.
- Experience working with actuarial, underwriting, pricing, and technology teams.

Work Location Requirements

- This is a remote position open to candidates located in Ontario, Canada only .
- Candidates must be able to work remotely from Ontario and collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
