Okta Workforce Identity Platform Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Okta Workforce Identity Platform Engineer to design, implement and maintain enterprise identity and access management solutions. The role will focus on secure authentication, application integration, identity lifecycle management and platform automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure and maintain Okta Workforce Identity Cloud solutions.
- Implement SSO, MFA, passwordless authentication and identity lifecycle management.
- Integrate enterprise applications using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM and REST APIs.
- Engineer Okta FastPass, Device Trust, FIDO2 and device-based authentication capabilities.
- Develop automation using Okta APIs, Workflows, Python, PowerShell and Terraform.
- Support application onboarding, platform upgrades, testing and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot authentication, federation, provisioning and integration issues.
- Maintain platform security, monitoring, incident response and operational reliability.

Required Experience





- 5–10 years of experience in IAM, identity engineering or cybersecurity.
- Solid hands-on experience with Okta or enterprise identity platforms such as Entra ID or Ping Identity.
- Experience implementing SSO, MFA, federation and passwordless authentication.
- Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM and REST APIs.
- Experience with enterprise application onboarding and identity provisioning.
- Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell or JavaScript.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or Omnissa Workspace ONE.
- Strong troubleshooting, production support and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with Okta FastPass, Universal Directory, Lifecycle Management and Okta Workflows.
- Knowledge of FIDO2/WebAuthn, Device Trust and Device Bound SSO.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Experience with Splunk, Elastic or similar monitoring platforms.
- Relevant Okta, IAM or cloud security certifications.
