Help shape the next generation of Canadian swimmers.
ESWIM (Etobicoke Swim Club) is looking for an ambitious, development-focused coach to lead our Performance 3 group: committed swimmers aged 14–17 at a key stage in their careers. This is where technical habits become permanent, training age is built, and young athletes learn what it takes to compete at the next level.
Why ESWIM?
Our programme develops swimmers for the international stage, and in 2026 an ESWIM athlete represented Canada at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships. You'll join an experienced, cooperative coaching team with a clear athlete pathway and real support for your own development. If you want to grow as a performance coach, this is the place to do it.
The role
- Plan and deliver pool and gym training for the Performance 3 group.
- Build skilled, resilient swimmers through a technique-first, process-driven approach.
- Prepare athletes for competition and support them on deck at meets.
- Work closely with the wider coaching team to move swimmers smoothly through the pathway.
- Build positive,
professional relationships with swimmers and parents.
Requirements
- NCCP Swimming 101 (Fundamentals Coach) or higher.
- Current National Lifeguard (NLS) certification.
- Energy, professionalism and a genuine commitment to athlete development.
- A skills-based coaching philosophy, with attention to detail and a belief in doing the basics brilliantly.
- A hunger to learn and to contribute to a high-performance culture.
What we offer
- A part-time role paid $25–$30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Approximately 13 hours per week, on deck and in the gym.
- Mentorship and daily collaboration with internationally experienced coaches.
- Support toward further NCCP certification.
